This weekend we were honoured to have Master Kim Yong Ho, President of the World Mudo Academy, and the Venerable Master Kim Sang Tae visit Darlington for two educational seminars. The weekend began reinforcing the importance of the next generation in moulding the future, followed by meditation led by Master Kim Sang Tae and a demonstration of Gumudo. Master Kim Yong Ho led the students in breathing control, close combat techniques and self defence.
Day 2 began with breathing control and meditation. Following this was a demonstration in Gumudo which was an unprecedented opportunity to practise alongside Master Kim Sang Tae and Master Emma Roscher. To practise the Gumudo in this way was an excellent opportunity to learn and comprehend the demands of the true Martial Art. Master Kim Yong Ho showed us several self defence techniques, reiterating the importance of breathing control and speed.
Well done to all the students who attended; your continued support and dedication to the real Martial Art is incredibly important. Thank you to Master Kim Yong Ho and the Venerable Master Kim Sang Tae, without your diligence, compassion and vast knowledge of the true Martial Art our own practise would not be possible.
